Galerie MAGNIN-A is pleased to announce its participation at the Art Brussels fair, to be held from April 25 to 28, 2024. Works by Steve Bandoma, Nathalie Boutté, Romuald Hazoumè, Ndary Lo, JP Mika, Marcel Miracle and Wura-Natasha Ogunji will be presented.

Marcel Miracle's delicate, poetic collages of heterogeneous objects dialogue with works by Nathalie Boutté, whose work will be featured this year at Photo Elysée in a tribute exhibition to Sabine Weiss. A fascination with paper she shares with Wura-Natasha Ogunji, whose figures sewn on tracing paper question our relationship to intimacy and the body, turning the latter into a true subject of study. A body that artist Ndary Lo himself has never ceased to represent, in movement, as shown by his rectilinear, monochrome sculptures in welded rebar. Romuald Hazoumè, who inaugurates the first Beninese pavilion at the Venice Biennale, also transcends the classical formal approach with his mask made with cans, and denounces, with humor, the absurdities of our society, alongside the drawings of Steve Bandoma, whose Milembo series will be unveiled on this occasion. JP Mika's colorful and abundant canvases emancipate him from this critical perspective to show us a modern, dynamic and joyful Africa, infusing the viewer with a universal message of hope and joy.
